What we sell, and why it costs what it costs

Read this before the call. Everything here is what we actually deliver.

We build the website, we host it, we keep it running, and we keep changing it for them — for a flat monthly fee. They never write a big check, and they never own a problem.

The one thing to lead with

"You're not buying a website. You're leasing a finished one that somebody keeps working on."
A designer builds it once, hands you a file, and disappears. When it breaks, you're calling somebody. When you want a photo swapped, that's another invoice. We never leave.

Our AI team and our human team are on it twenty-four hours a day, every day, watching every site we run. The AI never sleeps — it checks that your site is up and loading fast around the clock. The people handle everything the machine shouldn't. If something goes wrong at three in the morning, we know before you wake up.

What it would cost her anywhere else

PieceTypical one-time cost
Custom website design & build$2,500 – $8,000
Promo video cut from her own photos$800 – $2,500
Hosting, SSL, CDN, uptime monitoring$20 – $40 / month
Privacy, Terms, Accessibility pages$300 – $1,000
Every content change after launch$75 – $150 each

Those are going rates, not our prices. Use them as the comparison, never as a quote.

"Getting this built once would run her a few thousand up front, before anybody hosts it. She's paying forty a month and it's already done — she's looking at it."

What is in every lease, at every price

The tiers

Card$20 / mo

One screen. A tradesman who needs to look real and get called.

Standard most sold$40 / mo

A real business with work to show. This is Elegant Touch.

SoftwareCustom

When the site has to do something — take orders, book jobs, take deposits, run a register. Priced per business, because no two are the same.

Still a reasonable number — this is not a "call us and we'll gouge you" tier. Find out what they need on the call, say "let me put the exact number together for you", and bring it to Mike. Never quote this one on the spot.

Twelve month term. No setup fee. Card and Standard are fixed — quote them straight. Software is custom — bring it to Mike. The domain is theirs and costs about $10–12 a year, billed at cost.

Answers to what they'll actually say

"Forty a month forever? I'd rather just buy it."

"You can — somebody will charge you three or four thousand and hand you a file. Then hosting is yours, updates are yours, and every change is another bill. For forty a month you get the site, the hosting, the updates and two changes a month, and it never stops being handled."

"I already have Instagram."

"Instagram is where they find you. This is where they decide. You can't send a bride a link that opens on a login screen, and you can't put your prices, your terms and a quote form in a bio."

"My nephew can build me a website."

"He can build it. Who hosts it, who renews the certificate, who fixes it in December when you're booked solid? That's the part we're actually selling."

"Can I see it first?"

"It's already built. Here's the link — that's your site, your photos, your name." Send the preview. That closes more than anything you say.

"What if I want out?"

"Twelve months, then it's month to month. The domain is in your name the whole time — you walk with it."

The two edits a month — how it actually works

People don't believe this part until you explain it, and it's the reason they stay.

"You don't log into anything. You email support@runkeepai.com with what you want changed — type it, or just send the photo — and we do it."

Two a month, they don't roll over. In practice most clients use one every couple of months. Nobody has ever hit the ceiling.

"Every other web guy charges a hundred bucks and takes two weeks to change a phone number. You email us and it's done."

A full redesign, a brand new custom feature or a second site is not a content edit — that's a separate conversation. Everything short of that is included.

Taking money on the site — deposits, invoices, orders

This is the biggest add-on we sell and the easiest to explain. Their money never touches our account.

How it actually works

  1. She opens her own Stripe account. Free, ten minutes, in her business name. She needs her business name and address, her EIN or SSN, and the bank account she wants the money in.
  2. We connect it to her site. One button on her end that says "connect to RunKeepAI." No password ever gets typed to us.
  3. Customers pay on her site. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  4. The money lands in her bank — usually two business days — straight from Stripe. It never sits with us.
"You open the Stripe account, it's in your name, it's your bank account. We just wire it into the site. We never hold your money — we couldn't if we wanted to."

What it costs her

FeeWho charges itRate
Card processingStripe2.9% + 30¢
Our platform feeRunKeepAI3.5% + 30¢ all-in
Monthly fee to take payments$0
Setup fee$0

On a $300 deposit that's about $10.80. Square and PayPal are 2.9%–3.5% and give her no website. Never quote 5%.

What she can do with it

"How many dates have you held for somebody who backed out? A deposit button fixes that. They're not booked until they've paid."

If she says she doesn't want online payments

Leave it. It's an add-on, not a condition. Say: "We'll build the page so it's ready. The day you want a deposit button, it's an edit — that's included."

Every question they ask, and the answer

"Who owns the website?"

"The domain is yours, in your name, the whole time. The design is ours while you lease it, the same way the software on your phone belongs to whoever made it. Your photos, your words and your name are always yours."

"Do I own the domain?"

"Yes. It's registered in your name at cost — about ten or twelve dollars a year. If you ever leave, it goes with you, and we hand you a folder with your photos and your text in it."

"What if I want to cancel?"

"Twelve months, then month to month. You keep the domain."

"How long until it's live?"

"It's built. The moment you say go, we point your domain at it — that part takes about a day for the internet to catch up, and it's live."

"Can I make changes myself?"

"You don't have to learn anything. Text or email what you want changed and it's done — two changes a month are included, and honestly nobody's ever hit the limit."

"What counts as a change?"

"New photos, new prices, new text, a new section, swapping the video. A whole redesign or a new custom feature is a bigger conversation."

"Will it show up on Google?"

"It's built to be found — real page titles, real descriptions, fast, works on a phone. Nobody honest promises you the top spot. What we can promise is that when somebody Googles your name, this is what they find instead of nothing."

"Will it work on phones?"

"Most of your customers will only ever see it on a phone. That's what it's designed for. Pull it up on yours right now."

"Can I add pages later?"

"Yes. Small stuff is part of your monthly edits. Something big we'd quote."

"Who writes the words?"

"We use your words — from your Instagram, your Facebook, what you tell us. We don't invent slogans and put them in your mouth."

"Where do the pictures come from?"

"Yours. Everything on that preview is your own work. If you send better ones, they go in."

"Is the email included?"

"Yes. hello@yourname.com, on your own domain, and it comes into whatever inbox you already use. No new app to check."

"Is it secure?"

"Padlock in the address bar, certificate renews itself, security patches forever. If it ever goes down we know before you do."

"What if my business changes / I rebrand?"

"That's what a lease is for. You're not stuck with a file from 2026."

"Can you do my logo?"

"We use the logo you have. If you don't have one we'll talk — that's separate from this."

"Can you run my Instagram / do my ads?"

"Ads and social management aren't in the lease. We build and run the site."

"Why are you so much cheaper than everybody else?"

"Because we're not doing it by hand from scratch every time, and we're not trying to make it all back on day one. We'd rather have you for years."

"Is there a catch?"

"No setup fee, no cancellation fee after twelve months, your domain is yours. The catch is you pay monthly instead of once."

"Let me think about it."

"Take it — the link's yours, it's not going anywhere. Show it to whoever you want." Then follow up in two days. Nobody buys a website at 9pm on a Tuesday.

Anything you don't know

"Good question — let me check with Mike so I give you the right answer." That's a better close than a guess. Never make something up on a call.

How the call goes

  1. Send the link before you talk. Let them look at their own name and their own work.
  2. Ask what they'd change. Every answer is a content edit, which is already included — say so.
  3. Price it once, plainly. "Forty a month, twelve months, nothing up front."
  4. Point at the button. It's on their preview page. They can start it themselves.

Never say this
